Rutland Cranes

About this Project

Rutland Cranes is small crane hire business with a great reputation for the meticulous care and safety of their lifts.

The Requirement

Founder and owner Karol Cyrankowski came to Underdog Design to establish a solid online presence for his national small crane hire business. Due to time becoming increasingly limited and a desire to expand the business Karol opted for a professional web designer to handle the creation of the business’ digital brand. He needed a website that would portray the company as a professional, trustworthy business via a modern sales-focused design that extended the look and feel of the logo that had already been created. The website needed to focus on encouraging increased business leads and opportunities and also blow the competition out of the water visually. Added to this Karol asked me to handle all of the domain pointing, hosting and maintenance of his website so he could focus on his business.

The Solution

The design makes use of the bright oranges and yellows of the logo to extend the current branding. To encourage a sense of structure and organisation a solid grid layout was used with elements styled using staight lines and sharp corners. This helped to ensure the content was presented in a clear, informative way making it easy for users to digest information about the range of equipment available hire. To build trust and confidence the logos of the company’s accreditation bodies are clearly visible on each page. A blog and case studies section provides Karol with a place to add further examples of the successful lifts and jobs the company have completed.
